I think that is because of the trayicon. We're currently investigating how to
make that more robust.
Comment 2 Christian Meyer 2005-05-05 13:48:13 UTC
IMHO, we should entirely drop the tray support. My idea was that the shell
includes the configuration dialog for gdesklets)

- add an item in the context menu which starts the shell
- the user has to start gdesklets-shell via F2 (run program)

The tray isn't meant for that purpose anyway. Let's drop it in v0.40 at the latest.
Comment 3 Christian Meyer 2005-07-20 21:43:50 UTC
I think we now agreed that the shell should be the central organisational unit.
I will mark this report as "ASSIGNED" now. Version 0.36 will have a new shell.
Comment 4 Christian Meyer 2006-09-18 08:35:14 UTC
Tray support will be dropped in v0.40. Also see http://wiki.gdesklets.de/ for more information. We'll close the report as soon as the next version will be released.
Comment 5 Christian Meyer 2006-12-30 13:02:26 UTC
Change to WONTFIX. You can turn of systemtray support using --no-tray-icon.
