Adding relevant keywords. You can filter on the phrase 'luis doing GNOME2 work' to catch all instances of this so that you can ignore them.
I think change of behavior is out of the question for 1.4.x. Move to gnome-panel? Is it still relevant at all?
This bug is a sawfish bug. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72594
Dup, then. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 72594 ***
The discussion over at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62652 (of which http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72594 is marked as a duplicate of) seems to be suggesting that this is not a sawfish bug. (I've personally seen the problem in enlightenment as well)
