gnome-volume-manger crashes on login, won't start
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg) Package: gnome-volume-manager Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.8.0 unspecified Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc Synopsis: gnome-volume-manger crashes on login, won't start Bugzilla-Product: gnome-volume-manager Bugzilla-Component: general Bugzilla-Version: unspecified BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.8.0) Description: Description of the crash: I had been trying out a new usb thumb drive which was failing to mount when I noticed that the Preferences -> Removable Storage menu item no longer worked and displayed a dialog that gnome-volume-properties had quit unexpectedly. I logged out and back in to see if that would clear things up and cog the message on log in, rebooting didn't help either. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. log in 2. gnome-volume-manger crashes 3. Expected Results: gnome-volume-manger shouldn't crash How often does this happen? every time I log in now, it didn't happen at all until I was trying out a new USB thumb drive, obviously this changed some configuration file, but I don't know where. Additional Information: running fully up-to-date fedora core 3 Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-volume-manager' (no debugging symbols found)...Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1".
