Description Marius Andreiana 2004-06-29 07:30:05 UTC
Help says
7.8.2.1 To Add a Network PlaceTo add a network place, perform the following steps:
Open the file manager and choose Places → Computer . Alternatively, double-click
on the Computer object on the Desktop. A file object window is displayed.

Double-click on the Add Network Place object. The Add Network Place dialog is
displayed.

There's no "Add Network Place" (gnome 2.6, Fedora Core 2)
Comment 1 Cesar Negrete 2004-09-08 06:53:32 UTC
This also happens in Gnome 2.6.2 on Gentoo Linux.

In fact the "Network" window is completely empty.
Comment 2 Bryan W Clark 2005-02-09 00:40:35 UTC
This is actually a docs problem, it looks like documentation from Sun
Comment 3 Christian Neumair 2005-05-27 17:58:29 UTC
This functionality has been replaced by the "connect to server" dialog.
The docs are still outdated.
