GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 139523
Indication of grouped windows
Last modified: 2007-06-20 19:02:16 UTC
When you have grouped windows, there is no way of telling, without clicking on the item, that the item contains grouped windows. It would be good if there was a visual indication that an item represents grouped windows.
I can see a visual indication already in grouped windows. The number of windows in a group are displayed with in brackets. This is not there for single windows. Do we need some more beyond this?
There is also a small 'grip' in the upper right hand corner of the window- admittedly that could be stronger.
Ya, i just now realized that too. But in my Industrial theme, only after you said that therez a grip, i could see that at all ;-)
Is this theme related then? Or should the default be made more "in-your-face"?
Ah yes the gripper - only realised what you were referring to after I magnified the image. Perhaps the icons could be stacked as such: http://www.dur.ac.uk/c.j.n.breame/stack.png
I feel than in the default theme itself, the grip is hardly visible, unless one knows about the grip, he cant see it. It should be made slightly dark, to be more visible.
Moving to the right component. Sorry for the spam.
The URL of comment 5 404s. A black grip would be visible, but still too tiny to stand out. How about making the font bold, or putting a bold group count before the icon?
