Description Andrew Orner 2004-03-26 01:24:28 UTC
I have a grand selection of TrueType fonts that I use with GIMP. However,
whenever I go to select the font 'Abscissa' from the list, GIMP crashes with the
following error:

LibGimp-WARNING **: script-fu: wire_read: unexpected EOF
Gdk-ERROR **: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
  serial 19283 error_code 2 request_code 45 minor_code 0

LibGimp-WARNING **: script-fu: wire_read: unexpected EOF

Abscissa is of type TrueType font, with the filename 'absci___.ttf' and
'abscib__.ttf'.

Looks like a duplicate of bug #120095. If so, that would mean that the problem
persists and #120095 does not need additional info anymore. However it's likely
that the font is just broken and either freetype, fontconfig, pango, gtk or gimp
is doing something wrong handling the situation.
