Description Mark Howard 2003-09-01 12:07:33 UTC
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=195667 Requests a
keybinding for view->normal size (but wont say which key!)

> Which key should be used for this?

I'd have to defer to whatever UI standard caused the bindings to be
changed in the first place, so long as it makes *a* binding for Normal Size

There's a big problem with how to find a keybinding that works with
all keyboard layouts.

Bill Wohler <wohler@newt.com> suggests Ctrl-=:

I agree. I used it a LOT.

Neil is correct. Does anyone know where this "standard" is located?

If the "View -> Normal Size" keybinding is not defined, I would suggest
C-= since it is in the ballpark of the C-- and C-+ keybindings.

Unfortunately, as described in bug #187874, we can't create our own
keybinding.

A few more people have suggested ctrl-=. Apparently it's commonly used in other
gnome apps. Could this be changed please?

Using Ctrl+0 shortcut for "Normal Size" as per HIG:
