GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 106253
Display transactions in descending date order
Last modified: 2018-06-29 20:28:34 UTC
It would be nice if the option to reverse the sort order when adding/editing entries in a account was available. According to warlord, "the engine can do it, but there is no way to set it in the GUI." Thanks!
Some bank web sites display your account activity sorted newest to oldest. Being able to reverse the sort order of the GC register would make it a lot easier visually compare a GC register and a bank web page. FIW.
Would also be implemented by bug#310567 although this request here is far easier.
just adding a note to say that this enhancement is still desirable. In my case, it's because I am reconciling with an electronic bank statement that sorts in descending date order, not ascending. This makes the simple visual reconciliation act rather more difficult than it needs to be.
In current version, I can see in the "Sort by" option a "Reverse" checkbox that I believe does what is requested. Can somebody from the reporters please confirm?
Thanks Michelis, It is indeed in there and was addressed in Bug 683881. However as I say there I never finished it because at the time we were moving to register2 which would have made my work pointless. Ill close this as duplicate of Bug 683881 which I should revisit perhaps. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 683881 ***
