Steps to reproduce the problem: Unknown. How often does this happen? First time. Additional Information: It may be relevant that it happened I was benchmarking LAN. The benchmarking application opened and closed thousands of connections simultaneously and finally run out of descriptors (IIRC). XFree did not log any error messages, though. Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...[New Thread 8192 (LWP 4300)] 0x420ae169 in wait4 () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6
