Description minkwe 2002-11-27 10:03:07 UTC
I would like to suggest that the GARNOME version number should be bumped up
to the current GNOME version number. That way it makes it easy for people
reporting bugs and for easily identifying what is being installed.

Yes, I'm definitely intending to do this soon. When GNOME 2.0.3 comes
out (this week), there will be a release of GARNOME called "GARNOME
2.0.3" and then I will shift the 2.1.x releases to a similar
versioning scheme. I'm now somewhat content that we can shift to
"serious" version numbers. :-)

Oh, and Ross Burton showed some interest in being GARNOME's Alan Cox,
maintaining the stable branch. Still up for that, Ross?

Thanks!

This had actually been fixed as of the GARNOME 2.4.0 release.
