Description Chris Picton 2002-11-14 07:41:51 UTC
Nautilus Ver 2.0.7

Open a Window

Select a file (example a.out).  Right-click->Copy File

Right-click a directory in that window, Select Paste Files

The file is not copied into the selected directory. Instead, it creates a
new copy of the file in the original directory named 'a (copy).out'

This behaviour also exists in version 2.1.2
Comment 2 Mark Finlay 2003-02-21 19:02:43 UTC
I'm tempted to up the priority on this. It's just such an evil
misbehavior that will really confuse users.
Comment 3 Sebastien Bacher 2003-11-22 17:09:38 UTC
Nautilus 2.4 menu displays an option "Paste Files Into Folder" and the
files are copied in the folder. This bug seems to be fixed. Feel free
to re-open it if you think it's not.
