GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 97640
Account cell does not autocomplete
Last modified: 2018-06-29 20:20:41 UTC
I just built CVS and the account cells in the register do not autocomplete. In fact, they don't bring up the 'combo' portion at all! In fact, none of the "combo" cells do -- If I enter a 'date' cell I don't get the combo pulldown either.
I bet it'll work in !("Basic-Ledger" view)... ?
Indeed. In fact as soon as I change the 'view' it starts working, and continues working even if I change it back. I can change the Style, turn on double-line mode, or any other View->Style change and it begins working, and remains working throughout the life of the window. note that it does not matter what view->style I start with -- I MUST change the style for it to start working.

Transferring my comments from 97713 here; Popup list functions in the register no longer work as of CVS 11/04/02 Specifically; The date popup does not work. The field only allows you to type in a new date The Accounts list popup does not work. You can only type in accounts and the functions to autocomplete accounts and the ':' key no longer work. Error message generated in console window; Debug: gsr_emit_signal: emitting signal "help-changed"
For note; Bug#97952 smells very similar to this one.

Adding dupe-bug reporters to this bug ... which, BTW, it's fixed; unfortunately a crash has come up as a result of fixing it.... :(
Fixed in 2002.11.11 commit; changed the window-register code to a) show the window [not the GSR only] and effect a style-change to get a ledger refresh.
