Description xavier.bestel 2002-10-18 00:10:07 UTC
My "Default" session has the System Tray Applet and ACME (the multimedia
keys daemon), which both start well at login. But ACME's icon doesn't show
as it should in the System Tray.
If I killev acme, then restart it (with its prefs dialog), the icon show
correctly in the systray.
Comment 1 Vincent Untz 2002-10-21 21:02:25 UTC
I suppose the problem here is that acme is started before the
notification applet.
cc'ing hadess, who will decide if it's an acme issue or not :)
Comment 2 Bastien Nocera 2002-10-21 21:14:07 UTC
It's a bug in the systray applet, or the egg systray code.
Comment 3 Vincent Untz 2002-10-21 21:25:45 UTC
I was just wondering if it is possible to launch acme after the
notification area (that means after the panel). This would be a simple
workaround for this particular problem.
But it'd be better to fix the systray, yes.
Comment 4 Vincent Untz 2003-01-09 15:59:52 UTC
Changing the summary and setting severity to "major".

Btw, the same problem happen when the panel crashes and is restarted...

Xavier: it seems to work now. Does it work for you?
Comment 6 xavier.bestel 2003-11-12 18:03:01 UTC
Yes, it works now. I think the bug can be closed.
