GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 94213
Losing volume settings?

See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=74341 I wonder if there's some interaction between the various apps that let you set the volume, including panel applets and cd players.

Pretty nasty. Works here, though :/

Mass reassigning to component owner.
In version 2.4.0 of gnome-media, only the main volume is saved, and all the other volumes - pcm, sync etc are set back to default when you restart or log out/log back in. Is it significant that every volume gets set to 101 (max) except the main volume which is set to 100 (and works). Is volume-control throwing away values > 100 and setting the default every time?
