Description Rodd Clarkson 2002-09-23 01:26:46 UTC
when trying to install monkey-media-0.5.0-3 in the gstreamer-0.4.1 packages
it fails saying that it can't find libgstreamer-0.4.0.so.0.

[root@flathead gstreamer]# rpm -Uvh monkey-media-*
error: failed dependencies:
        libgstreamer-0.4.0.so.0 is needed by monkey-media-0.5.0-3
[root@flathead gstreamer]#

Shouldn't it be looking for libgstreamer-0.4.1.so.0 instead?

The RPM's have been downloaded from
http://gstreamer.net/releases/redhat/redhat-73-i386/RPMS.ximian/

Yes - I should either remove those MM and RB packages, are recompile
"some" version of them.

The problem currently is that RhythmBox do not plan on releasing
anything anytime soon until they get their biggest bugs worked out.

packages have been removed, so problem is fixed.
