Description Tommi Komulainen 2002-09-12 13:52:50 UTC
If
1. a link is focused on a page (the link has a rectangle around it)
2. and the link is not currently visible on the page
3. and the window doesn't have focus

restoring the focus back to the window makes the page scroll so that the
link is visible again. Annoying.

Should be easy enough to repeat. Click on a link and drag it a little so
that it isn't followed, but remains selected. Scroll the page so that the
link is no longer visible. Move the focus out from galeon window, and back
in again.

I couldn't repeat this in mozilla.

This one should be tested in gtkmozembed and submitted to mozilla.org
It's very probably another damned focus bug.
Comment 2 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2002-09-23 18:44:52 UTC
I cannot reproduce
Comment 3 Tommi Komulainen 2002-09-26 13:15:35 UTC
Another testcase: in bugzilla, click on the Additional Comments text
area, drag the scrollbar to the top, focus some other window, focus
galeon again -> the window is scrolled so that the text area is
visible again.

Always repeatable with metacity 2.4.1 and sloppy focus.
