Solaris sparc 8/9 Gnome nightly 10th Sept'02 & Gnome SUN_beta2_build7

Right click on the gnome-panel.
Select new panel - edge panel.
Right click on the edge panel and select Add to panel, drawer.
Right click on the edge panel and select properties
Enable the Autohide feature by checking the autohide box.
move the focus off the edge panel.

expected result:-
the edge panel should hide.

actual result:-
the edge panel does not hide.

Close the drawer on the edge panel- the panel, as expected, does hide.

I'm not terribly uncertain that this is an unexpected behavior. It's
certainly not major- there is an easy and very, very obvious work around.
Comment 2 Mark McLoughlin 2002-09-11 03:10:55 UTC
This is the expected behaviour. The assumption is that if a user has a
drawer open he is using it and doesn't want it hidden.
Comment 3 Calum Benson 2002-09-11 10:12:49 UTC
Yeah, Robert asked me about it yesterday and we couldn't really decide
what the most useful behaviour was, so we decided to file a bug and
see what people thought... personally I just wish drawers would die a
horrible death :o)
