Description Frank Sfalanga, Jr. 2002-09-04 17:51:55 UTC
Open any checking account or bank type register and set a date range using
register/date range/set date range from the menu. Check the balance at the
bottom, it will be the balance in the register on the last date of the range.

Using the same date range get a report using register/report. The Total at
the bottom of the report is NOT the available balance on that day. It does
not take into account the balance prior to the range when doing the math.

If you click on the options for the report, in the "Display" tab there
should be an option for "Running Balance". Enabling this should give
you the numbers you want. I've updated 1.8 and CVS to enable this
option by default, and relabelled the "Total" line to be "Net Change".
