GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 92500
Custom gnome-video-quicktime icons ignored in themes
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Nautilus does not use any custom Quicktime icons (gnome-video-quicktime.svg or .png) contained in themes in either list or icon mode. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a quicktime file or a file that gnome believes to be a quicktime file ... eg. 'touch test.mov' works. 2. Verify the mime type is correct by viewing Properties of file in Nautilus. 3. Switch to a Nautilus theme that contains custom icons (either Scalable or Unscalable Gorilla will do) 4. View the file's directory as either icon or list. Expected behavior: The icon of the test file should change to the custom icon in the theme. Actual behavior: The icon of the quicktime file remains the same although all other icons change (if they have custom replacements). You can perform steps 1-4 above with a test.mpg file (ie MIME type video/mpeg) and it will correctly replace the icon. This problem occurs with both .svg and .png replacement icons. Further install details: Garnome 0.14.1 (same bug existed in Garnome 0.13.1 .. not sure of corresponding Nautilus version)
Nautilus now uses the new free desktop icon standard and i'm guessing that should fix this., but i don't have any quick time files to test with. Could you either try this with a recent cvs build of nautilus, or attach a quicktime file that fails so that i can test it?
yeah, this is fixed now.
