Description Spider (D.m.D. Ljungmark) 2002-09-02 08:36:27 UTC
quite simple, the terminal cannot display едж.. something that adds a lot
of trouble in my localized settings.
Comment 1 Patrik Andreasen 2002-09-21 11:47:22 UTC
I solved this by explicitly setting the locale in gdm (this wasn't
necessary in earlier versions).
Comment 2 Arwed v. Merkatz 2002-09-21 12:38:04 UTC
setting the locale in gdm didn't help here, i tried both english and
german.
besides, i don't want a german desktop, but i still want to be able to
use german characters.
Comment 3 Havoc Pennington 2002-09-21 14:04:10 UTC
libzvt doesn't support i18n.
Comment 4 Havoc Pennington 2002-09-21 14:05:04 UTC
(try building --with-widget=vte, for best results using a Pango with
fontconfig/Xft2 support; or try the zvt-i18n-branch branch of zvt)
Comment 5 Kjartan Maraas 2005-01-06 10:45:12 UTC
Closing libzvt bugs since it's not actively maintained or used by anything in
the desktop these days.
