this happens in red hat beta ( null ) for example

gdm texts, such as Incorrect password, are hard to see as they are 
black on a dark blue background. Please use a color which is viewable
depending on existing theme ( and background? )

In fact, the text color is defined in the theme. So if a label is hard
to see in a theme, you should mail the author of the theme.
