Dave? Alex?
Does this still happen with more recent Nautilus?
cannot reproduce in suns build12 (cvs oct 17th) - closing as not a bug. if you can reproduce then pls repoen this bug.
Reopening based on the duplicate from RH 8.0, later than this one. Not a CVS dup, but still, quite recent.

I just reproduced this bug with nautilus 2.1.1.
Music-view is no longer, but nautilus-media will rise from its ashes new and improved with gstreamer in its veins. This bug is doomed for ever because of it, so I will give it a proper burial.

A new duplicate crash-report filed but not related to the music view, so opening this bug again. Also updated the summary to reflect this.

Bug 105429 claims this is repeatable once a day and that the following steps will give the crash in *tree sidebar-panel*: 1. Browse (directories) folders through NFS 2. Copy files from local to nfs, wait. 3. Change from nfs folder to an other nfs folder crashes nautilus Should the component for this bug perhaps be changed?

seems to work fine with nautilus 2.8. Do you still get the problem ?
No feedback and no new duplicates in a while. Closing. The music view and nautilus media are both history it seems. Don't know what's going to replace those if anything. It seems the mantra is to open external apps to handle actions on files from nautilus so I guess the default music player is it.
