Description Mamatha 2002-08-19 10:55:04 UTC
Tested on Sun's Gnome 2.0 Beta 2 Build 3 version on a Solaris 9 Sparc
machine.

Reviewed Gperfmeter manual ver 2.2 and found the following mismatch
between the explanation in the online help manual and the actual GUI.

1) The manual shows the following options:

Sec 3.2 : To Display or Hide the Bar Chart
To switch the display of the bar chart on or off, choose View->Bar Chart.

Sec 3.3. To Display or Hide the Strip Chart
To switch the display of the strip chart on or off, choose View->Strip
Chart.

The gperfmeter app shows one more option i.e View->Both chart. Moreover,
the three options in the 'View' menu viz. 'Bar Chart', 'Strip Chart'
and 'Both Chart' are mutually exclusive, i.e., one can choose only one of
the three options.

2) Section 4.2: Chart
Layout:
Default: Vertical.
Shown in apps as: none of the options is selected.

3)Section 4.1: Metrics.
Link broken in 'Metrics' - Click on 'previous' link it
displays the 'Table of contents' page.)

(3) is probably an HTML generation issue.

Parts 1 and 2 of this bug are fixed in Performance Meter Manual V2.3
and submitted to CVS HEAD.

Part 3 of the bug is a known Yelp issue.
