Description Rajeev Karale 2002-08-16 12:39:22 UTC
This is solaris specific RMM bug.
When unformatted zip/jaz are mounted we should get the desktop icon with
label unformatted_media at the bottom of the icon.

Comment 3 Luis Villa 2002-11-21 17:59:07 UTC
Clearing this out from maintainer queries.
Comment 4 Narayana Pattipati 2003-01-22 14:52:29 UTC
There are some minor issues with the above patch. They are

1. Nautilus gives an error "DKIOCINFO failed : Inappropriate ioctl for
device" while runnig.

2. Compilation on Linux fails because solaris specific code is not put
under SOLARIS_MNT flags.

3. /tmp/.removable scaning is not proper.

I will attach three patches to the above problems in the same order.
Those three needs to be applied on the earlier patch added in the same
order. I do not have a consalidated patch for the above three issues
and the original patch added earlier.

I will generate a consalidated patch against the branch required once
you approve the code changes.

Comment 8 Narayana Pattipati 2003-05-12 04:53:06 UTC
I will attach a consolidated patch for all the problems mentioned
above. The patch was generated against HEAD. I have also put the
changes of patch given to bugzilla bug#102729 which are logically part
of this functionality.

Could you please review the patch and give your comments?

Bumping the priority level to High because of the attached patches.
Comment 12 alexander.winston 2004-01-28 06:20:43 UTC
Adding the portability keyword.
Comment 13 Narayana Pattipati 2004-02-21 07:52:23 UTC
This patch is for fixing removable media related problems in Solaris.
It does not apply on HEAD anymore as volume management code has
changed in HEAD. Hence closing the bug. Will raise a new bug if the
same problem is found to be there on Solaris running HEAD/2.6.
