GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 88576
Trash icon not "nice" in home view
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The Trash/ folder in my home directory isn't displayed "nicely" when browsing files in Nautilus. I.e., the folder shows as Trash with the empty trash icon (even tho there are files in it, and the icon on the desktop shows the full trash icon), and right-clicking on the icon doesn't give me the trash options like Empty Trash. Double-clicking on the trash icon takes me to trash: (not $HOME/Trash), so it at least is recognizing that properly. Nautilus is package nautilus2 version 2.0.0-3 (Debian unstable).
Created attachment 9960 [details] screenshot showing the Trash icon in home view
I'm running 2.2 and the icon is displayed properly (ie. full or empty) but it does not have "Empty Trash" in the context menu. IMHO the trash bin should not be shown in the desktop dir at all($HOME in this case) but should be a meta-item on the desktop.
Closing because this is all different now that we use the $HOME/Desktop directory for desktop stuff.
