GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 88505
date dialog box only displays once
Last modified: 2018-06-29 20:14:23 UTC
Open a register and click on the date button in a transaction. Click on a date to close the dialog. Click on the date button again and the dialog appears but with no contents (missing an explicit refresh somewhere?). If you move the mouse around the blank dialog, dates under the mouse will show up. This has shown up on machines running debian unstable and woody Submitted as debian bug #149588
I can't recreate this problem in either gnucash 1.6.6 or gnucash cvs. The date selector is always displayed properly for me.
For a picture of what the register looks like when the problem occurse see http://people.debian.org/~treacy/gnucash.date_dialog.png Note that changing workspaces and back or iconicizing the window and reopening it shows the date dialog properly. There really seems to be a missing redraw somewhere. What is odd is that all Debian users queried have seen it (including myself) but not users of other linux variants. If you have any suggestions on other information I can provide that will help to shed light on this, just ask.
I was just able to recreate this on RH8.0 and Gnucash 1.7.1 while doing something completely unrelated.
