Description Matt Armstrong 2002-07-12 17:45:16 UTC
When I import a new QIF file, a dialog showing duplicate transactions
appears. There are two things wrong with it:

1) The list of transactions on the left contains transactions that do not
occur in the QIF file.

2) When I select one of the transactions on the right, the list of possible
duplicates on the right is uselessly numerous. It doesn't appear that only
transactions of an equal ammount are shown.

These combine to make the duplicate transaction dialog basically useless. ;-)

What is the current status of this bug? I know I checked in some
changes that helped. Can you categorize the current failures?
Comment 2 Matt Armstrong 2002-07-29 03:39:12 UTC
I haven't precisely narrowed it down any. However, I have noticed
that some transactions shown on the left side of the dialog aren't
actually in the QIF file -- they appear to be transactions already
present in Gnucash.

(Sadly, I won't be able to narrow this down any more since I've
switched back to Quicken. The lack of direct downloads into the
register from my bank means GnuCash requires a lot more time from me,
which I decided I would rather spend doing other things.)

Cannot reproduce in CVS.
