Description xavier.bestel 2002-06-27 09:47:27 UTC
Package: control-center
Severity: normal
Version: 2.0.0
Synopsis: can't use <Meta> or <Mod4>
Bugzilla-Product: control-center
Bugzilla-Component: Keybinding

Description:
Description of Problem:
I want to assign keybindings using the Meta key for Metacity. It's
impossible using gnome-keybinding-properties because it doesn't detect
this key.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. click on an Action to set a key (e.g. "Switch to workspace 1")
2. click on the Shortcut item to capture a keypress
3. press Meta + F1

Actual Results:
the Shortcut is set to "F1"

Expected Results:
a Shortcut set to "<Meta>F1" or "<Mod4>F1"
(note that the former is way more intuitive, but would have to be filed
as enhancement for GTK I imagine)

How often does this happen?
Always
