Description Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2002-06-19 14:22:56 UTC
The current default theme doesn't fit in well with the gnome stock icons.
We need a new default theme that is based on the color pallete used for
stock icons. Note: gtk is planning on changing it's default theme in 2.2 as
well to make it match the stock icons as well.
Comment 1 Ben FrantzDale 2002-06-24 04:17:08 UTC
My "gnome" theme was built to go with 1.4, but I think it would make a
good starting point for a new default theme.
Comment 2 Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2002-06-24 04:31:33 UTC
Hmm...could you provide a link. I think any new theme that is decided
to be used as the default needs to be based on the color pallette
used by tigert and jimmac for the stock icon set so that they
synergize well (gtk is apparently going to change it's default theme
as well in 2.2 to better match the stock icons). CCing the art guys
for an opinion.
Comment 3 Ben FrantzDale 2002-06-24 12:31:15 UTC
I think it comes with nautilus: /usr/share/nautilus/gnome/ (I can see
it in CVS).

Althgouh the icon style has changed some from 1.4 to 2.0, the pallet
is (I believe) essentially the same.
Comment 4 Dave Camp 2002-11-03 21:37:44 UTC
Please open a new bug against gnome-icon-theme if you think it should
be more gnomish.
Comment 5 Mark Finlay 2002-12-02 20:19:56 UTC
There appears to be no gnome-icon-theme product in bugzilla.
Comment 6 Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2003-01-04 06:20:48 UTC
Jimmac is on this and has already redone most the icons. Closing as
fixed. I guess individual bugs should be filed for any
inconsistencies (which there are many).
