GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 85508
Lines containing high bit chars aren't wrapped and following text is destroyed
Last modified: 2006-06-18 05:15:44 UTC
When typing lines which contain a lot of "high bit" characters like äöu, Pan doesn't wrap the line correctly. I just tried typing this non-sense line: Bösföäla sdfölsdaf äölsadf öäöäsdaf öäsfdl fasdfplüawle füweaf äölls als als al als ls lfdsf lksdfa Pan put this all on one huge line. I typed this as a followup to this article: -------------------- On Sun, 16 Jun 2002 22:15:43 +0200, Alexander Skwar wrote: > umlaute: ÀöÌ > > € <- Euro?? > > Alexander Skwar Alexander Skwar -- How to quote: http://learn.to/quote (german) http://quote.6x.to (english) Homepage: http://www.iso-top.de | Jabber: askwar@a-message.de iso-top.de - Die günstige Art an Linux Distributionen zu kommen Uptime: 13 hours 14 minutes -------------------- When I started typing, I put the cursor before "Alexander Skwar", after "> Alexander Skwar\n". When I got close to the end of the line where Pan would normally wrap the line, it messed up with the text beneath what I typed. The text then looked like this: --------------------- > Alexander Skwar Bösföäla sdfölsdaf äölsadf öäöäsdaf öäsfdl fasdfplüawle füweaf äölls als als al als ls lfdsf lksdfa Alexande r -- How to quote: http://learn.to/quote (german) http://quote.6x.to (english) Homepage: http://www.iso-top.de | Jabber: askwar@a-message.de iso-top.de - Die günstige Art an Linux Distributionen zu kommen Uptime: 13 hours 10 minutes ------------------------- After I typed even more rubbish, Pan destroyed more and more of the following lines. Setting to major, because it not only is a "usability" bug, but also messes up the text. This bug might be related to bug# 85502.
Fixed for 0.12.1 and merged to HEAD.
