Description kz 2002-06-09 23:57:21 UTC
an player applet that I made to use gst as vocalist, which has thread
pipeline of (gnomevfssrc|spider|esdout), make all other environment that
invoke esd or raw audio device stalled, such as mozilla, galeon, etc.

I think gst has leak of PAUSED in practice. wtay said me that gst does not
release audio device on PAUSED, and cannot be NULL to release for some
dependencies on audio device clock(I don't know much). and he said that
will be see could be.

I hope gst-player feature PAUSED soon.

this is intentionally. You should set it to READY to release the device.

btw, esd should do mixing for you; if it doesn't work with esound
something else is wrong.
