Comment 1 Ben FrantzDale 2002-07-02 19:36:31 UTC
I don't get this with gnome-terminal 2.0.0. I'm guessing it's a font
config problem for the original poster.
Comment 2 Rodney Dawes 2002-07-03 00:00:05 UTC
I get this same problem. Shall we confirm?
Comment 3 Luis Villa 2002-07-09 16:26:32 UTC
Someone has to be a lot more specific about exactly what the problem
is before this becomes new.
Comment 4 Kjartan Maraas 2002-09-19 19:28:56 UTC
Please elaborate on this problem.
Comment 5 Rodney Dawes 2002-09-20 17:56:17 UTC
If I choose "Fixed (Sony)" I only have 16 and 24 available for
selection of sizes. "Fixed (misc)" only has 12 and 13 as available
sizes. Just "fixed" isn't available. Just random weirdness that is
wildly divergent from previous gnome-terminal behaviour.
Comment 6 Havoc Pennington 2002-09-20 19:16:43 UTC
"fixed" only _has_ two sizes, unless you want to scale bitmaps and
render your terminal super ugly.

Anyway, this is using core X fonts right (for the font selector you have
the silly option menu thing?).

I'm not going to fix the core X font support, as fontconfig/Xft2
setups work fine and I don't have time to write a core X font
selector. If someone wants to fix it then great, but it's not on top
of my priority queue.
Comment 7 Havoc Pennington 2002-09-22 20:13:00 UTC
Will dup all the "Zvt with core X fonts font selector bites" bugs here.

fontconfig/Xft2 based terminal (using vte widget for now) resolves all
this.

This is fixed in Sun's build, I assume toshi put the relevant changes
back to cvs as well though. Can somebody confirm/close?
Comment 15 Mariano Suárez-Alvarez 2003-09-27 06:55:06 UTC
WONTFIX this, as gnome-terminal no longer supports libzvt.
Comment 16 Mariano Suárez-Alvarez 2003-09-27 06:55:59 UTC
I guess you can't reassign a bug *and* resolve it...
