GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 79918
"anchor" for download progress window
Last modified: 2014-08-26 19:52:33 UTC
A wishlist bug has been filed against galeon in debian, asking for a preference to have download progress indicated in a tab instead of a pop-up window. Galeon has enough preferences. I suggest a button be added to the window to allow the user to move the window into and out of a tab, and that this change be remembered when subsequent downloads are made. Sort of remenicent of Xchat tabs, I suppose. It's also been suggested that the progress window should be considered a pop-up and obey the "open popups in tabs" preference. I don't like this idea myself :P original bug at http://bugs.debian.org/108844

Galeon has not seen any code changes since May 2010: https://git.gnome.org/browse/archive/galeon/log This project is not under active development anymore and got recently archived in GNOME Git. It is currently unlikely that there will be any further active development. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
