GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 79669
Pan GTK2 has no filter combination to surpress old read messagesl while showing old unread messages
Last modified: 2006-06-18 05:14:19 UTC
I've been trying out pan-gtk2 from cvs and I've noticed that the new filter dialog that replaces the old filter menu lacks the ability to specify that old read messages be hiden while old unread messages are shown. The only available filters are for old messages and unread messages, and I have not been able to find a combination that works. old pan had a specific entry in the menu for read messages. This has left pan pretty much useless for me as a newsreader as, whenever pan updates the article list, all my currently unread articles get flagged old and disappear, or I leave old message showing, in which case they never disappear. I hope this is just an oversight. pan-gtk2 has silently upgraded my database so I can't go back...
