GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 764822
gimp man page references incorrect path to system-wide gimprc
Last modified: 2016-04-09 16:14:12 UTC
From http://bugs.debian.org/820207: Part of docs/gimp.1.in says: Most GIMP configuration is read in from the user's init file, \fB$HOME\fP/@gimpdir@/gimprc. The system wide equivalent is in @sysconfdir@/gimprc. The system wide file is parsed first and the user gimprc can override the system settings. @sysconfdir@/gimprc_user is the default gimprc placed in users' home directories the first time GIMP is run. @sysconfdir@/gimprc usually resolves to /etc/gimprc, but the files are actually stored in @gimpsysconfdir@, /etc/gimp/2.0/.
Thanks, fixed in master and gimp-2-8: commit 696f747ac4fafcc72598a39cba4f41354a15857e Author: Michael Natterer <mitch@gimp.org> Date: Sat Apr 9 18:08:52 2016 +0200 Bug 764822 - gimp man page references incorrect path to system-wide gimprc Use @gimpsysconfdir@ no just @sysconfdir@ when referring to files in the systemwide GIMP config files.
