Testing with continuous today: when you press the search button, the search bar slides down and the results popover appears over the top of it, so you can't see the search input box.

Does this issue still happen with GNOME Calendar, either 3.20 stable release and/or Git master?

Since I couldn't reproduce this issue since it was reported, and there were no further news, I'm closing the bug.
