GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 763091
Lots of spam going to friends@gnome.org
Last modified: 2016-04-06 09:16:15 UTC
friends@gnome.org receives lots of spam, which makes it difficult to monitor genuine messages going to the email address. From what I can tell, all the spam is coming from the same domain. Here's a sample of the email addresses that it's being sent from: english@mag2.com 0001553910_s47zb9@publisher.mag2.com 0000134134_1ms0se@publisher.mag2.com magnews@mag2.com wmag2autoreply@mag2.com jimococo@mag2.com
https://infrastructure.gnome.org/browse/puppet/commit/?id=32a7fc2 should help. Let me know how it goes in the next couple of days! Feel then free to close the bug if the spam from that domain stopped!
I'm still seeing some spam getting through. There are two senders of the latest: mailmag@mag2tayori.com mailmag@mag2letter.com
Both added! https://infrastructure.gnome.org/browse/puppet/commit/?id=eca02d2
Most of the mails are being blocked now; we've just had a couple through from: mailmag@mag2-letter.com All these mails have a different reply-to address from the sender, usually using one of the other domains that are being filtered out (the latest have 0001553910_s47zb9@publisher.mag2.com and similar, for example). It might be good to filter by reply-to as well as sender, if that's not already happening.
Blocked mag2-letter.com as well.
One more: mag2sender.com
Added!
No spam has got through for a while, so closing. Thanks for your help, Andrea!
