Testing 3.19.x with an up to date continuous image: I launched Eye of GNOME from the Activities Overview, closed it, and then used it to open image.

In both cases, the window was *really* small. It did not provide a good view of the image at all.

It would be much better if the window was bigger by default.

Allan, can you check again with a recent GNOME Continouous?
An image from March 07 seems to work fine for me.

Btw, the initial window size is normally computed based on your screen and image size. If the image doesn't fit your screen the window can use ~85% of your screen in any direction.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/eog/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
