If you set the dimensions of your desktop to eg. 4x3 the pager applet in
the panel refuses to update correctly to match where you are, what desktop
you're on, even how many desktops you have it seems confused about.

It works much better with Metacity - but Metacity is unusable feature-poor
so ... is this some sort of hints problem ?
