GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 761864
Authentication windows: unnecessary padding around web view
Last modified: 2018-04-17 09:40:49 UTC
In the web view window where you log into the online account, there's a grey border around the edge of the web view. This makes the window look quite untidy. There's no reason to have the grey padding around the web view - it would be best just to remove it. This issue is present in initial setup as well as the control center.
Odd, this is not happening when running gnome-initial-setup locally under X11; the dialog gets attached just fine. When running it under Wayland in rawhide, the webview doesn't work at all and the dialog is not only broken but also unattached. Running it in continous loads the page fine but doesn't attach the dialog.
(In reply to Matthias Clasen from comment #1) > When running it under Wayland in > rawhide, the webview doesn't work at all and the dialog is not only broken I think that is because recent rawhide builds of webkitgtk+ did not have Wayland support. It has since been fixed by mcatanzaro.
