Description john 2002-03-23 16:17:37 UTC
When posting a reply, the post window wraps text one or two characters past
the edge of the window, and puts a little arrow there instead.

Widening the window shows all of the text again, but should not be
necessary in the default configuration.

Either the default window size needs to be a bit wider, or the default wrap
margin needs to be reduced by a couple of characters. The former is
obviously preferable, as 72-character wrap is essentially an internet standard.

I agree with the first suggestion. We can't make things
perfect for people who change their font size, but we can
make the default size wide enough for the default font.

(As an aside, Pan stores the window size when you close it,
and when a new compose window is opened, it's set to the same
size. So if the user resizes the window then that will be
kept and override the default.)
