GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 75068
GtkToolbar::set_homogeneous with GtkSizeGroup
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gtk+ Severity: enhancement Version: 2.0.0 Synopsis: set_homogeneous for GtkToolbar! Bugzilla-Product: gtk+ Bugzilla-Component: gtk Description: I'm using pan for gtk2. the task manager toolbar has almost half screen window. moreover, the translation for toolbar is a little bit long string. so toolbar grows over the screen. it's ugly. I was trying to find a way to solve this issue. and I decided to set 'homogeneous' property to toolbar widget. and, now, after reading reference of gtk api, I'm really diappointed. I never doubt. Is there really nothing 'homogeneous' property for GtkToolbar? If none, why don't you make it up? ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2002-03-17 04:26 ------- Reassigning to the default owner of the component, gtk-bugs@gtk.org.
Lots of other open toolbar bugs... reworking the toolbar is an item for GTK+-2.4 or GTK+-2.6.
so far.. :(
do you have GtkSizeGroup in mind? I think this is best fit to set_homogeneous.
Is that possible to accept raw patch of sizing process with GtkSizeGroup, if made, before 2.4 or 2.6?

I'm not intending to look at this, other than in the context of a review of EggToolbar.
If I understand you correctly, you are saying that buttons on toolbars get too wide because of the homogeneous property. Marking as duplicate of 107781, but it's possible I misunderstood you. If so, please reopen this bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 107781 ***
