Description aaron 2002-03-13 19:32:02 UTC
When I drag an item into a Mozilla window from the desktop, nothing
happens. If I don't run into Bug 77461, that is, which may or may not be
related.

Expected behavior: HTML and images, at the very least, ought to be
displayed in the browser.

This is fixed on 1.1.11. Closing. Aarson, reopen if I'm missing a test
case.
Comment 2 aaron 2002-04-03 22:43:13 UTC
Hmmm, well, it doesn't work for me. :(
I'm using:
nautilus2-1.1.11.0.200204010939-0.snap.ximian.1
mozilla-0.9.9-1.ximian.3

I can't make any of this work: no pngs, no gifs, no html pages, will
render when dragged from the desktop or a nautilus window into a
mozilla window.

My bug was marked a duplicate of this, but I was dragging from Galeon
on to the nautilus desktop. Nothing occured unless I was dragging a
local file link. In which case, it would copy the file to the desktop.

Nautilus version: 1.0.6 from Debian testing.
Comment 5 Luis Villa 2002-04-15 23:25:08 UTC
two questions:
1) Has this ever worked?
2) Do we have any reason to think that mozilla and/or galeon /accept/
such a drag?

Comment 7 Lars Weber 2003-06-23 17:34:33 UTC
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to drag-and-drop, but given that it
is possible to drag URLs between different instances of Mozilla (or
between Firebird and Epiphany for example) shouldn't dragging of
desktop-files with Type=Link work if the type of the dragged item is
changed back to what it was when it was originally dragged to the desktop?
Comment 8 markush 2003-11-08 18:30:05 UTC
it looks like this bug is fixed. every file i drag into a mozilla
(firebird) window gets displayed. checked with html, images and text
files. maybe close the bug?
Comment 9 Kjartan Maraas 2003-11-09 13:48:06 UTC
I can't get mozilla to show anything here. I managed to get it to
accept a png image once, but failed to reproduce it afterwards. I'm
using the fedora core 1 packages.
Comment 10 Alex Converse 2004-02-21 03:19:51 UTC
I beleive this was a mozilla bug. It's good with nautilus 2.4/2.5 and
mozilla 1.6.
