Description Jacob Burckhardt 2002-03-11 05:05:22 UTC
When entering a formula, and the user types a cell address, gnumeric
helpfully draws a red border around the cell so the user can verify that
he entered the right cell address. But if there are frozen panes, and
the formula is in one pane and the cell that the formula references
is in another pane, then gnumeric does not highlight it.

Here is how to reproduce it:

1. start gnumeric
2. In the View menu, choose "Freeze Panes".
3. type "=h1". Then gnumeric correctly highlights cell h1.
4. continue typing "+i1". Then gnumeric does not highlight the cell i1,
but I wish it would highlight it.

Note that in step 3, the formula is entered in the upper left pane,
and the referenced cell is also in the upper left pane. But in step
4, the referenced cell is in a different pane.

This happens with gnumeric 1.0.5.

This fix for this actually requires some work, but it should be done
before 1.2. Sorry for ignoring this for so long.

blah forgot all about this.
The fix was trivial and took only a couple of minutes. Sorry for the
long delay. Patched in both trees. Patch will be in 1.2.7
