Description Georges Basile Stavracas Neto 2014-07-30 02:18:11 UTC
Week view is currently not complete. We should finish it.

This bug is meant to be a tracker for this feature.

Week view

So here it is, my first attempt.

From this point we can have a base to go forward.

As asked by the maintainer (me) those patches are against ui-rewrite branch
I'll have to review those patches yet, but.
Comment 6 Georges Basile Stavracas Neto 2014-10-18 11:14:00 UTC
This is a blocker bug for the preview release of GNOME Calendar, and I'll mark it as such.
Comment 7 Georges Basile Stavracas Neto 2014-12-03 01:22:29 UTC
Actually, week view *is* implemented. What is needed is improving it the best we can. Today, the following features (but not limited to them) are missing:

 - (un)fold all-day widget area
 - resize event to reflect it's timespan
 - improve some rendering issues
 - implement keyboard navigation

For each item, a ticket will be created and marked as blocker for this bug.

With the latest mockups by Lapo, can we start implementing it?
Comment 16 Erick Perez Castellanos 2015-05-06 03:27:08 UTC
No. I'll wait until the mockups are complete. There's some implementation details depending on the interaction between both areas. Also, I have some work already done about this on my tree. I need to know what to keep and what to throw away
Comment 17 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2015-08-01 13:49:58 UTC
I'm supposing this is rather targetted at 3.18 or 3.20 now?
Comment 18 Christian Stadelmann 2015-08-02 14:02:03 UTC
It was planned for 3.18 [1] but won't make it, see [2].

Oh right, hadn't seen those, was basing myself on the target milestone field. Updating that one.
Comment 20 Arpit Kumar Rathi 2016-01-27 17:33:36 UTC
I am a new developer and want to fix bugs here.So I request to please guide me for contributing in this field.
Comment 21 Alberto Salvia Novella 2016-03-14 15:08:19 UTC
There is no scheduling application that does well in the GNOME desktop right now. Third party applications, like Lightning or Evolution, exhibit even poorer performance in GNOME than in other desktop environments.

I don't care how beautiful it looks, if it does nothing. Till the moment it works the time and money invested on it are waste. They are better used in playing golf.

You are better done with one application that works, than with a great collection of prototypes.

<snip>

First and last warning. This has no place in a bug tracker.
Comment 23 Georges Basile Stavracas Neto 2017-01-26 20:53:23 UTC
The Week view landed in GNOME Calendar development branch, and will be available in 3.24 release. I'm closing this bug as FIXED.

Please open separate tickets for specific issues in the Week view.
