Description tjb 2002-02-25 13:56:51 UTC
I started galeon today and went to
http://www.armadilloaerospace.com/Updates/feb23_02.htm to view some mpegs.
Instead of the files being downloaded and sent to the helper application,
they are just downloaded. This was working on Friday and I've experienced
this problem with other mime types.

Basically, galeon ignores the defined handler and just downloads the file.
I've verified with wget that the file coming from the server is
'video/mpeg' and that my mime types has an entry for 'video/mpeg'. The
helper /usr/bin/gtv exists, and everything seems like it should be working.

Another possible enhancement would be a way to 'edit handler for this file
type'. It could either be a context menu when third-mouseing the link or
maybe from the 'Properties' dialog and it would go to the Mime Type
preferences with the proper mime type either created if it doesn't exist or
selected if it does. It would offer some type of verification that the file
is a certain mime type and that a handler is defined for that mime type.

This works as expacted for me.

Please upgrade to the latest mozilla and galeon releases and clear
your existing galeon config.
