Disks is already designed along the lines you would expect for a modern GNOME 3 application, which means that no major UI changes would be required to use a header bar widget.

I would expect a header bar version of Disks to be in the same style as Contacts and the Tweak Tool - with a split running through the header for the sidebar:

Hey, I actually begun work on this a couple of days ago. It looks a little different than the mockup - let me iterate a bit more on it, then we can compare notes!
