GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 7035
Reconsider contents of right-click menu
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-terminal Severity: wishlist Version: 1.0.55 (And version 1.1.5, too...) Distribution: Red Hat Linux release 6.1 (Cartman) System: Linux 2.2.14 i586 unknown C library: glibc-2.1.2-11 C compiler: egcs-2.91.66 glib: 1.2.6 GTK+: 1.2.6 ORBit: ORBit 0.5.0 gnome-libs: gnome-libs 1.0.55 gnome-core: gnome-core 1.1.5 Description: I tend to get rid of titlebars in gnome-terminal. When I want to look at the help manual, I have to right-click, get the little menu, put the menubar back, select the help menu option, then remove the menubar. It would be terribly nice if the help link was there with 'secure keyboard' and 'reset' and so on on the right-click menu. :) ------- Bug moved to this database by debbugs-export@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-01-27 15:16 ------- This bug was previously known as bug 7035 at http://bugs.gnome.org/ http://bugs.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7035 Originally filed under the gnome-core product and gnome-terminal component. Unknown version 1.0.x in product gnome-core. Setting version to the default, "unspecified". Reassigning to the default owner of the component, gnome-core-maint@bugzilla.gnome.org.
It's quite random which menu items are in the right-click, perhaps all of them but Exit should just go in there.
Looking at this, there are too many items in the menubar to put them all in there. Hmm.

Since help and reset can be assigned keyboard shortcuts now, and both the right click menu is too big and those two items are not that frequently used (methinks...) so that adding them to the conext menu is not really a good idea, I'll WONTFIX this. Scream if not convinced, though.
