There is an icon list widget in libegg; don't know how suitable it is.

Anders told me that the eggiconlist still needs some work; he mentioned the
layout algorithm and DND not working.

The layout algorithm works, it's just that it needs to be smarter about
differently sized icons.

There are also lots of other things, such as the icon list not scrolling when
you do rubberbanding and move the cursor out of the widget. Typeahead find would
also be nice to have.

another nice-to-have would be inline editing of the labels, maybe also markup
for the labels.

some missing mandatory features are RTL layout and keynav.
