GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 697678
Pickup Zimbra accounts from GOA
Last modified: 2021-05-19 11:03:52 UTC
It would be nice to have a simple way to add a Zimbra account. Zimbra offers email, calendar and addressbooks which can be leveraged by Evolution.
Debarshi: Could you update the status of this report, and if this is a 3.10 or 3.12 target?
The Zimbra integration will depend on the presence of DNS SRV records for the services provided by Zimbra. We're still trying to attain such a setup (preferably through Red Hat's own internal Zimbra deployment), but at this time it doesn't look like the feature will make 3.10.
(In reply to comment #2) > The Zimbra integration will depend on the presence of DNS SRV records for the > services provided by Zimbra. Actually maybe not. See bug 697677 comment 3. I'm not working on Evolution currently so I haven't pursued this.
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution-data-server/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
